The Easter Bunny is almost here and that can mean only one thing…Spring! With promises of jelly beans, chocolate bunnies and peeps, adults and kids alike look forward to a Sunday morning full of yum! So grab your basket, do the bunny hop and dye and egg or two. Celebrate Easter to its fullest this year and check out my Top 10 Easter Activities in Nashville.

1. Gaylord Opryland Resorts

Buffets! That is what makes a real Easter brunch successful. Enjoy the views of the serene gardens at Water’s Edge or the beautiful golf course at Gaylord Springs all while choosing from one incredible spread. Join Gaylord Opryland on Easter Sunday and choose from two different brunches. One starting at 10am and the other starting at 11am. Their award winning chefs won’t let you down.

2. EASTerFest

Join East Nashville for their annual EASTerFest! Held at South Inglewood Park on April 12 at 11am, families can expect a lot of eggstra fun with games, activities and a huge egg hunt. This is the longest running community Easter egg hunt in Nashville!

3. Art Hop

Its the 22nd Annual Spring Art Hop at Cheekwood. This is a favorite tradition in Nashville. This special event is packed full of activities and excitement for families including a petting zoo, balloon artists, face painters, food vendors and of course the Easter Bunny! Oh and don’t forget a basket! An astounding 20,000 eggs will be hidden for egg hunts around the grounds.

4. Brunching at Union Station

Enjoy live entertainment and an elegant 4 course family-style Easter Brunch at Union Station on Sunday, April 20. Immediately following brunch is a traditional egg hunt at 12pm in the Grand Lobby.

5. Hiking and Hunting Eggs

Don’t just hunt for eggs, learn about them! The Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary will be hosting an Egg Hunt Hike on Friday, April 18, from 1 pm to 3 pm. Participants will learn about a variety of eggs found within Middle Tennessee and then use their knowledge to find eggs along the way as they hike the local woods and meadows.

6. Bunny Train

Take a train ride with the Easter Bunny on Tennessee Central Railway Museum’s classic American streamlined passenger train to Watertown! Once you reach your destination, there will be Easter Egg hunts for children of all ages. Catch the train at the Donelson Commuter Station on April 12 or 19 at 8:30 am. Don’t forget to bring your camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny!

7. Lucky Ladd Farms

Things are hopping on the farm! Join the Easter Bunny on April 18 and 19 at Lucky Ladd Farms for their Easter Celebration. There will be egg hunts and prizes for the kids along with eggstra-special golden eggs with bonus prizes hidden around the farm. Enjoy the farm as you visit with baby animals, including lambs, bunnies, chicks and ducks as you make special Easter memories. Its a full day of fun!

8. General Jackson Brunching

Board the General Jackson on Easter Sunday and set sail to the entertaining sounds of the General Jackson Jubilee. The brunch buffet begins at 10:15 am followed by departure at 11am and returning to dock at 1:15pm. This Easter should be smooth sailing!

9. Eggstravaganzoo

Collect the kids and bounce over to the Nashville Zoo for the 16th annual Eggstravaganzoo! There will be egg hunts for the kids, featuring 30,000 hidden eggs! Even if you don’t find the most eggs, ALL egg-hunting children will receive an egg-cellent prize pack, and don’t miss out on the “Golden” Egg Hunt and the Animal Egg hunts! Special guests at the big day include the Zoo’s giraffe mascot Twiga and the Easter Bunny!

10. Community Egg Hunt

Come on out for the Community Easter Egg Hunt in Franklin, Tennessee! The fun begins at 10am at the Franklin Recreation Complex Soccer Fields. And don’t forget you camera because you may meet the Easter Bunny!
